Since the introduction of the current dental contract in 2006, there is no such thing as NHS registration. Patients can register with a dental practice, but this does not guarantee the entitlement of NHS care (please see the NHS  website). Since the beginning of the Pandemic the NHS required that we prioritise non-practice patients with Dental emergencies over our regular patients. It was a condition of our continued limited funding. Prior to this we had informally considered a patient registered on the NHS if they had had an appointment with us in the past 2 years. 

 

Since we have been unable to continue this informal arrangement, we have researched other solutions for our patients who wish to be registered with us. We are happy to inform you that we have been approved by Denplan (the UK’s leading dental plan specialist) to allow patients to register with our practices and to guarantee being able to book check-ups and hygienist appointments. Starting from £10.50 per month, a registered Denplan patient is entitled to an annual checkup and hygienist appointment, and a 10% discount on Private treatments.
